All new moves submitted for a score in the Intermediate and Advanced divisions need to be received by November 1st, 2021 for a score evaluation. No moves submitted after November 1st will be included in the 2021 competitions. All competitors must be registered for WJF 16 and a current WJF member.
The following guidelines apply to events run by the World Juggling Federation. Affiliate run events may have different guidelines so please refer to their event pages when preparing to compete in WJF affiliate events.
All competitors must have an approved uniform music. Balls, beanbags and rings must all be a solid white. Club handles and shells must also be white but the shell can be decorated.
All competitors must be current WJF members and registered for the WJF convention.
Judges will NOT respond to competitor questions during the competition. Please refrain from asking them for rule clarification or for play by play results while you are competing.
Please check the drop down menu under "Competition Rules" for info on the competition you're interested in learning about.
Before using the form below, please confirm that your country is not a WJF Affiliate or that the WJF Affiliate is not holding tryouts for your country's team. Affiliates are listed on this page. The beginners division is the exception to this requirement.
DIVISIONS
The best way to determine which division you should enter is to watch the most recent WJF competitions in the WJF competition playlist. If you're over 15 years old, your options are beginners, intermediates or advanced.
Important note: The use of the word "TEAM" does not refer to a group of jugglers that pass objects between each other. The use of the word "TEAM" references a group of individual jugglers each of which compete individually for a cumulative team score for their country. If team passing competitions return to the WJF events, they will be referred to as Team Passing Competitions.
- Beginners (One on one - no country team)
- Junior Teams (National teams competing individually for a cumulative team score)
- Junior Individuals (1 juggler per country, representing their country in lieu of a team)
- Intermediates (One on one, no country team)
- Advanced Teams (National teams competing individually for a cumulative team score. This is our Olympics, the pinnacle of WJF Competitions)
- Advanced Individuals (1 juggler per country, representing their country in lieu of a team)
HOW TO TRYOUT/ENTER THE COMPETITIONS
-Juniors (must be 15 years or younger on Dec. 17th 2021)
-Intermediates & Advanced (All Ages)
Record a 5-minute unedited video of your best moves and connections with balls, rings and clubs. You do not need to include music or wear a uniform. The video should demonstrate how skilled you are with balls, rings, and/or clubs. Intermediates and Advanced competitors do not have to use all three props in the tryout videos, however, your score will be heavily affected by your proficiency with all three props as it is an overall score.
Requirements: You must be a current WJF member and registered for the upcoming WJF convention.
